The speaker at the April 1st Kiwanis Club meeting was Tami Madsen, recently appointed Executive Director for Central Iowa Water Works (CIWW). Tami provided background on the 2024 formation of CIWW - charged with handling water sourcing and treatment for over 600,000 central Iowans - as well as short- and long-term plans to more cost-effectively provide quality water to handle growth in the region. She also shared how her previous background, as Executive Director of a more rural western North Dakota regional water authority, spurred her interest in applying for the CIWW position.

Tami is pictured with WDM Kiwanian Jody Smith who introduced her to Club members.
